Twitter Follow Me Box

Rafael Cirolini 5 de dezembro de 2010 14

Great news, we are publishing our first plugin. Actually I saw a need to get a choice of track on twitter on my template, but did not want to mess with the files of the layout, so I decided to create a plugin that did this to me.

Searching the internet I found this script: http://www.go2web20.net/twitterFollowBadge/, which was based on the idea of how to run but completely rewritten.

The plugin was written in jQuery (the original is only javascript), then it is not necessary to add any tags to your theme so it will work. Moreover it is possible to change the color, height, side, turn and put your twitter id.

= version 1.2 =

* Update name functions
* Update register jquery
* Update inicial options

= version 1.1 =
* Update version tag

= version 1.0 =
* Transmission of the plugin for wordpress svn.

= version 0.5 =
* Fix version name
* inserting copyright

= version 0.4 =
* Fix some function names.

= version 0.3 =
* Fixed an incorrect insertion of javascript.

= version 0.2 =
* Placing a color picker in jquery.

= version 0.1 =
Implementation of basic functionality

Follows some prints:

Well after all this, here is the download.

Download.

    LOVE this pluging!
    But I have a question, how would I go about changing the background entirely? and changing the size of the button?

      Hi,
      Just to let you know on WordPress Control Panel Settings tab/section it says ‘Fallow me’ instead of follow. Also the same in the window tab (above the webpage).
      cheers,
      Pa

    great plug-in. simple install, easy to configure, and works without any modification to the code. Hats off to you!

    EXCELLENT plug-in one of my clients added this and he loves it. I will have to add it myself too. One point for ease of use: please say to users to only put their twitter ID name for me DreamTexan and not the whole http://twitter dot com and all that. Because I am a webmaster for several sites I host I figured out what was needed. Maybe by knowing this then others will quickly use this plug-in.

    Texas grin as I ask you why you do not have your won plug-in on your own blog

    Hello,
    I love your Plugin but I do have 1 slight issue. I want the Widget to go on my Side 1 bar, but when I add the widget it removes everything else that I have added to that side bar in the sidebar1.php.

    Is there a code or HTML that I could manually enter the widget into my sidebar1.php?

    Thank you.

    I love this plugin and have had it for awhile. Now I find that the link is not connecting to my twitter page. I have reviewed the code over and over again to see how I can ensure the link is right in the Plugin Editor on WP, but I can’t find where to fix the link. I am not a programmer by the way…so layman’s terms please. I would appreciate any help.
